According to reports from Netflix Tudum on the 18th, Boyfriend on Demand has proven its strength by ranking first in the global TOP 10 Non-English TV Shows category. This achievement highlights the show’s ability to resonate with audiences across different cultures and regions.

In addition to its global success, the series has entered the TOP 10 in 47 countries around the world. These include Libya, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Maldives, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela, and Vietnam. As of last week (March 9–15), the series recorded an impressive 4.8 million viewing units, calculated by dividing the total viewing time by the runtime of the show. Additionally, it accumulated 47.8 million viewing hours, demonstrating the high level of engagement and interest among viewers.

The series has maintained the number-one spot in viewing hours for two consecutive weeks while also ranking highly in domestic buzz indexes. According to Good Data Corporation’s Fundex, Boyfriend on Demand topped the TV·OTT integrated drama buzz index for two consecutive weeks in the second week of March. It also dominated the actor buzz rankings, with Jisoo at first place and Seo In Guk at second, drawing intense attention from fans and critics alike.

Boyfriend on Demand, which marks Jisoo’s first romantic comedy and third acting challenge since her debut in BLACKPINK, has been a major topic of discussion since its release on the 6th. The series follows Mi-rae (played by Jisoo), a webtoon PD who is tired of real life. She subscribes to and experiences virtual dating simulations to realize her romance.

Jisoo portrayed various characters, including a doctor, a college freshman, a webtoon character, and a flight attendant.
